GSS Newsletter - Week of 10/7/20

Dear CEHD Graduate Students,

Welcome back to a shorter school and work week! We sincerely hope everyone enjoyed their extended weekend. Don't forget that per the recent university announcement, all students, faculty and staff who are on campus, or plan to be on campus periodically, are required to get tested for COVID-19. One mandatory test must be taken between the dates of Monday, Oct. 5 to Friday, Oct. 23. More information on how to schedule your COVID test is here.

Our spotlight video this week comes from Dr. Pentecost who explains different types of funding available at the University.

FAFSA CORNER: Students will be able to file their 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on October 1, 2020, using 2019 income and tax data. NOTE: In the past many of you probably went to www.FAFSA.gov  to submit your application, but that has changed. Please use www.studentaid.gov

The mobile app called myStudentAid  has been a highly successful tool especially for students that may not have reliable access to WiFi or own a personal computer.  The app allows students or parents to securely fill out the FAFSA entirely from their mobile device. The app is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play for AndroidFor specific help, a student can always reach out to our office at finaid@louisville.edu or by phone at (502) 852-5511.

Winter registration will begin on October 12, 2020. More information on course offerings can be found here. Consider taking a class and getting ahead!
