Up Close & Personal Shadow Visits

Experience Life as a Cardinal

During your shadow visit, you will: 

  • Attend a UofL class
  • Have lunch with a current student
  • Participate in 3-5 optional meetings with academic programs, the University Honors Program, Admissions, campus services and more based on your interests

Shadow visits are available through November 2024. Please keep in mind that shadow visits require a minimum of two weeks' notice and are intended for high school juniors and seniors. Contact the Office of Admissions at admitme@louisville.edu with questions or to discuss visit details.

Attend a UofL Class

Experience UofL academics firsthand by observing 1-2 classes within your academic or major program of interest. Please note that total class sessions and course offerings for the day are subject to scheduling availability.

Lunch with a Current Student

Grab a bite to eat with your student host at one of our many on-campus dining locations. Or request to have lunch with a Diversity Student Ambassador for Admissions and learn more about campus resources and communities for diverse student groups.

Academic Department Visit

Learn more in-depth about your specific major or program of interest and meet with faculty or staff from your UofL academic department of choice. Most meetings run 30 minutes.

University Honors Program

Meet with the University Honors Program to hear more about the unique benefits and opportunities that come with being an Honors student. Learn what it takes to join and speak directly with an Honors staff member. Most meetings run 45 minutes.

Learn about competitive and mentored scholarships for in-state and out-of-state students and hear about UofL's prestigious guaranteed entrance programs. Ask questions about tuition, scholarships, financial aid and more.

Meet with an Office of Admissions staff member and ask questions about admission requirements, the application process and more. Please note that your assigned admissions counselor may not be available during your visit.
