Family Weekend 2021 is an exciting weekend full of new and returning traditions. It is a wonderful opportunity for families to return to campus to visit their students and experience all that the University of Louisville has to offer. A series of events and activities will be hosted by various departments and student groups all over campus. Full schedule details will be available soon!

Saturday 8 a.m. Cardinal Clues: Family Weekend Edition

The Student Success Center and Student Organization For Alumni Relations (SOAR) bring you closer to UofL’s traditions, resources, and favorite campus spots with an interactive scavenger hunt. At least one member of your group will download the GooseChase App and search for "Cardinal Clues: Family Weekend 2021" (password: CLUES). Missions will become visible when the game opens on Saturday. Participate at your leisure from 8 a.m. on Sat., 10/9 to 2 p.m. on Sun., 10/10. Be on the lookout for pop-up missions & chances for UofL students and family to win fun prizes, including one Awesome Award from the for the student on the winning team. Prizes brought to you by Commonwealth Credit Union.

Saturday 12 p.m. Family Weekend Tailgate

Join us for a unique tailgating experience with our Parents Association! The Pre-Game Tailgate and Lunch on Saturday is a catered event, not an open tailgate area. No outside food, drinks, or vehicles will be permitted in this area. All attendees (including students and children ages 8 and up) must have a ticket for admission. Students will NOT be allowed to use their meal plan at this event.

*If your student has season tickets, they do not need you to purchase an additional ticket for them to attend the game. HOWEVER, if you wish for your student to sit with you at the game, you MUST purchase them an additional ticket from our site.

Come enjoy a tasty brunch at our newly renovated Ville Grill! If your student has a meal plan, he or she may use a meal swipe for themselves on Sunday morning for the brunch. Students WILL be allowed to use their meal plan at this event. You do NOT need to purchase an additional ticket for them for this event if they have a meal plan. For more questions on utilizing your student's meal plan at this event, please email .

Sunday 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Chi Omega Chili Cook-off

The Beta Gamma Chapter of the Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity will be hosting their Annual Chili Cook-Off. This event engages campus organizations and UofL families. The event is a Chili Cook-Off competition with guest judge and we will have other activities going on during our event as well! We will have Pie-A-Chi O, a Silent Auction, Sponsorship tables, concessions, T-Shirt sales and a hot dog eating contest. All profits of this event will be directly benefit the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
