New Employee FAQs

Some systems within UofL use your username and password for account access. Other systems, such as Microsoft, Adobe, and cloud-hosted solutions, use your username@louisville.edu. For more information about accounts at UofL, please visit the ITS for Employees page.
To configure voicemail on your phone, please reference the VoIP Voice Mail knowledge base article from ITS.
Nursing IT maintains SharePoint cloud storage for departmental use and recommends OneDrive as the primary storage location for most types of user-specific files. A departmental fileshare (I-Drive access) is available for specialty cases. CardBox is an additional cloud storage solution available to all faculty, staff, and students and requires an initial CardBox account request.
Multi-function devices with copy, scan, Print AnyWhere, and mobile printing are available in multiple locations across all floors at the School of Nursing. To view a device map or other detailed information about printing at UofL, visit the UofL Print & Mail Services website.

On occasion, Nursing IT will lead training for specific applications on an as-needed basis.

For support of personally-owned devices, iTechConnect, a service of UofL's Information Technology Services (ITS), offers walk-up, one-on-one technology support at the Belknap campus.

SON Student FAQs

Students at the School of Nursing are required to have a computer computer which meets minimum laptop requirements by the first class meeting of the semester.
Eduroam is the preferred wireless network for students. The wireless configuration guide provides detailed instructions for configuring mobile devices, whether laptops, tablets, or smartphones, to use the eduroam wireless network. After configuring, Nursing IT recommends forgetting the ulvisitor and ulsecure wireless networks from your devices and disabling automatic connection to these networks.
