Why UofL EM?  

When I was on the prowl during the interview season, I stumbled across this legend of a program in Louisville, Kentucky and knew immediately that it produced stellar emergency medicine physicians.  It was one of the few programs in the country that helped develop emergency medicine and has continued to progress and elevate this awesome field.  Finally, it prioritizes autonomy to help grow residents to attending physicians and does this at a historic Level 1 trauma center with a unique patient population helping prepare residents for anything that could present to the emergency department.
