Professor Walker's Global Game Changers' partnership recognized by Louisville Mayor
During a press conference Wednesday, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer spoke about the Global Game Changers' partnership with the Ali Center and Young Elementary. Brandeis School of Law Professor Justin Walker, the executive director of Global Game Changers, also spoke.
The partnership allows 50 students from the West End's Young Elementary to spend their after school time at the Muhammad Ali Center, where they will learn that no matter where they come from or how young they are, they can make a difference in the world.
"The unique partnership shows what can happen when a community partner, a cultural partner and an education partner come together and cooperate for a common mission to meet the needs of our most underserved citizens," Walker said.
The partnership is made possible by a handful of financial supporters, including Kosair Charities, Hilliard Lyons, the Gheens Foundation, Brown-Forman and Louisville Magazine.
