Social Media Assistant (SMA)

The Social Media Assistant supports the Marketing Coordinator in developing and scheduling media content that is engaging, resident-focused, and in alignment with the university’s strategic plan, specifically regarding the promotion of residential communities. Regular attendance at residential and Living-Learning and Themed Community programming is required. Primary media disciplines include photography and videography. The social media assistant will work in tandem with two student graphic designers in order to produce social media and webpage content that aligns with the mission, values, and brand strategy of the department and university. The assistant will also be responsible for assisting the Marketing Coordinator in compiling monthly analytics reports and interpretive summaries of those reports in order to improve the department’s social media strategy. Marketing and communications majors are strongly preferred.
