Community Night Assistant (CNA)
The Community Night Assistant (CNA) is a para-professional appointed on a semester basis to work at the front desks of the residence halls. The CNA operates behind the front desk of each residence hall to provide assistance to residents and guests as well as report concerns to the building staff. The CNA works collaboratively with the residence hall staff, contracted security staff, and the Hall Director (HD) to support the health, safety, and wellness of all. The HD is the direct supervisor of the CNA staff. CNA building staffs will be led and mentored by a Community Manager (CM). No CNA may work more than 29 hours per week in any employment position at the University of Louisville. A second position on campus must be approved by the HD.
