Residence Hall Association

residence hall association and students on campus

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is a Registered Student Organization on campus that serves as a liaison among the residence hall students, University Housing, and the university community. The goal of RHA is to make residence life an unforgettable experience and to ensure that residents' voices are heard. The three pillars of this organization are community building, developing members into leaders and advocating for residents. RHA is a great opportunity for students to develop themselves as leaders, learn how to develop programs, market events, network with their peers at conferences, and build relationships and communities in their halls. RHA advocates for residents by listening to the needs of residents, ensuring residents have services to benefit them, and create opportunities for residents to meet with other student leaders and housing and university administration. All on campus residents are automatic members!

RHA is open to all eligible students regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age.

Hall Councils

Each residence has its own hall council which is a part of the larger general body of RHA. They have their own executive committees (President, VP, Marketing, and Outreach). With the support of the RHA Executive board, the hall councils have the ability to plan and execute events for their respective areas (e.g. holiday crafts such as mug painting, ice-cream socials, food truck events, ping-pong tournaments, trivia nights, and more). The hall councils are a great way to get involved on-campus and build community within one's hall!
