Application Information

  • The Summer 2023 Housing Application will available in the Housing Portal on our homepage starting March 1, 2023 at 10 AM and will remain open throughout the summer. The priority deadline is April 1, 2023.
  • Summer housing will be offered in Belknap Village South, one of our traditional-style residence halls.

Room Selection

  • If you completed the Summer 2023 Housing Application by April 1, 2023 at 3pm, you may log into the Housing Portal starting on April 3, 2023 to select your space. You will receive an email to your UofL email account with room selection details on April 1, 2023.
  • If you completed the Summer 2023 Housing Application after April 1, 2023 at 3pm, you will be manually assigned to a space in Belknap Village South beginning on April 10, 2023.
  • Any applicant who does not select their space by April 7, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. will be manually assigned to a space in Belknap Village South.
  • If you would like to cancel your Summer 2023 Housing Application, please log into the Housing Portal to complete a Cancellation Request. Your application will remain active until the form is completed. Once you assign yourself into a unit, you will be held accountable to the Cancellation Policy.

Important Summer Dates and Move-In/Out Information

Please note that the move-in dates for Summer Term I and Full Summer Term pertain only to non-residents. For any current spring resident who has a Summer Term I or Full Summer Term assignment, you may be able remain in your spring assignment until we contact you via your UofL email that your summer space is ready. Once you are notified of your transition date into your new summer assignment, you must be able to move at that time. 

  • Summer Term I: May 8, 2023 - May 26, 2023
    • Summer Term I Move-In: May 7, 2023 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM
    • Summer Term I Move-Out: 24 hours after last final or May 27, 2023 by 10:00 AM
  • Summer Term II: May 30, 2023 - July 6, 2023
    • Summer Term II Move-In: May 29, 2023 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM
    • Summer Term II Move-Out: 24 hours after last final or July 7, 2023 by 10:00 AM
  • Summer Term III: July 7, 2023- August 10, 2023
    • Summer Term III Move-In: July 6, 2023 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM
    • Summer Term III Move-Out: 24 hours after last final or August 11, 2023 by 10:00 AM
  • Summer Speed Term: May 15, 2023 - July 31, 2023
    • Summer Speed Term Move-In: May 14, 2023 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM
    • Summer Speed Term Move-Out: 24 hours after last final or August 1, 2023 by 10:00 AM
  • Full Summer Term: May 8, 2023 - August 10, 2023
    • Full Summer Term Move-In: May 7, 2023 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM
    • Full Summer Term Move-Out: 24 hours after last final or August 11, 2023 by 10:00 AM
