 announces

A COMPETITION FOR

THE GRADY NUTT PRIZE

 for the MOST CREATIVE PROJECT

IN HUMANITIES and CIVIC LEADERSHIP
 

 

This $400.00 prize has been made possible through

the Grady Nutt Endowment Fund, established by

Eleanor Nutt Maddox, a University of Louisville graduate

with a BA in Humanities, and

Robert Maddox, a U of L graduate of the School of Business
 

 This  prize will be awarded in May, to a graduate student in Humanities
whose MA project fulfills the objectives of the major concentration, 
demonstrates mastery of interdisciplinary research and presentation,
and fulfills the following specific objectives:

 1)   exemplifies practical knowledge of his/her field
as well as understanding of values enrichment, and     

              2)  explores the values that leadership in the community requires.

 

Graduate students are invited to submit a creative project for the 2004 competition, and faculty are invited to nominate a creative student project for the competition.  Each project should be accompanied by a letter from the student and one from the faculty mentor, explaining the nature of the project and exploring how it fulfills the above objectives.
