One-day one-credit hybrid seminar class on Health Justice & Equity
BETH 605-04 / PHIL 505-06 / PHIL 605-06
This is a 1 credit-hour hybrid seminar, with one in-person meeting (January 19, 2024, 9am-4 pm) plus online asynchronous instruction and work.
This class offers an introduction to health and social justice. We will ask questions such as: Is there a right to health? Or to healthcare? How are inequalities of health and healthcare linked with systems of oppression? And how should a socially just society respond to such inequalities?
