Owensboro Extension - Virtual Tour

The University of Louisville and Owensboro Health Regional Hospital partnered together in 2009 to provide an opportunity for future nurses to earn a BSN degree close to home at the School of Nursing Owensboro Extension. Located in the Owensboro Health Breckenridge Medical Building, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program selectively accepts new students every fall and spring semester.

Students attend class and master nursing skills, in modern, fully equipped classrooms and labs along with unique access to a variety of simulation equipment. Small class sizes provide one-on-one interaction with faculty in an encouraging learning environment while students refine critical thinking and problem-solving skills, developing the confidence needed to begin a career in nursing.

Students provide impactful patient care in a range of clinical settings within Owensboro Health Regional Hospital and throughout the community including homeless shelters, community clinics, long-term care facilities and more.

Graduates consistently achieve first-time NCLEX pass rates that exceed the state and national average, illustrating the dedication to the success of each individual through graduation and beyond.
