Ziqi Wang, MD received his medical degree from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University after graduating from Yale College with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and four-year scholar-athlete honors on the varsity men’s tennis team. At Yale, Dr. Wang completed an honors thesis studying the pathological wound healing response in diabetic mice and engineering electrospun scaffolds for drug and gene delivery. After graduating, he worked in orthopedic trauma research for two years before starting medical school at Brown, where he led a project investigating the molecular mechanisms of axonal wiring and neuronal development across the spinal cord in embryonic mice.

Dr. Wang is passionate about teaching and has tutored and mentored students of all ages and backgrounds. At Brown, he worked with students on subjects from MCAT prep to USMLE boards, as well as advising medical students interested in careers in neurosurgery. 

Outside of academics, Dr. Wang enjoys spending time outdoors and has completed several half-marathons and century rides across the country.
