Dr. D'Angeleau Newsome is the son of military parents, Mark and Sherry Newsome. He completed his undergraduate studies at Belmont University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2014. He then served as a data coordinator for oncological clinical trials at Sarah Cannon Research Institute in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2018, he transitioned to Kansas City, Missouri where he earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Science at Kansas City University. He continued his education at Kansas City University, earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree as well as a concurrent Master of Arts in Bioethics. During his time at Kansas City University, Dr. Newsome also completed an additional year serving as an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Fellow. In this year of service, he gained valuable experience in medical education and further refined his OMM skills, which he plans to integrate into his pain medicine practice in the future. After medical school, Dr. Newsome successfully completed his preliminary internship at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama.
Dr. Newsome is also a professional percussionist, having performed with eight-time world champion Music City Mystique, the Tennessee Titans Blue Crew Drumline, the Kansas City Chiefs Rumble Drumline, and the featured Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show Drumline. Through these opportunities, Dr. Newsome fosters his passion for curiosity, connection, and creative expression.
