Two Brandeis Law alumnae honored by local bar association
Two Brandeis Law alumnae were honored by the Charles W. Anderson, Jr. Bar Association at its annual awards dinner April 20, 2017.
Judge Denise Clayton of the Kentucky Court of Appeals, 4th Appellate District, Division 2, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Clayton is a 1976 graduate of the law school.
Alicia Awkard, Family Court Division Chief of the Jefferson County Attorney's Office, won the Rising Star award. She is a 2011 graduate of the law school.
The Charles W. Anderson, Jr. Bar Association is an affiliate chapter of the National Bar Association and is dedicated to the advancement, development and support of minority attorneys in the Metro Louisville area. Membership is open to all lawyers, judges, law professors and law students with an interest in promoting diversity in the Metro Louisville legal community.
