Prof. Enid Trucios-Haynes shares immigration law expertise with local leaders
Brandeis School of Law Professor Enid Trucios-Haynes, a nationally respected expert on immigration law, made a presentation about Louisville's undocumented families ahead of a national conference about immigrant economic development.
Welcoming Interactive + Welcoming Economies Convening was held in Louisville June 18-20, 2018. The event merged "cutting edge policies and innovative ideas from the field of immigrant economic development with successful practices and inspiring stories of welcoming communities," according to the website.
Ahead of that conference, the City of Louisville hosted the Louisville Regional Global-Local Summit. That event gathered local experts who presented on grassroots advocacy and topics including ESL, citizenship and employment.
Trucios-Haynes' presentation provided statistics on undocumented families in Louisville as well as challenges and opportunities for local undocumented immigrants.
