Step 2: Complete My Financial Aid File

We receive the results of FAFSA applications electronically. In some cases the U.S. Department of Education requires us to collect additional information from you, so you may be selected for a process called “verification”. We may also need to resolve conflicting information reported on your FAFSA. We will notify you by email (or mail if you have opted out of email correspondence) if additional information is required to complete your file. In most cases, the requested documents will be available on your ULink To Do List. View our ULink tutorials for assistance on how to access these forms.

The priority date to have a complete financial aid file for fall is early July. A complete financial aid file includes an official processed FAFSA, all requested documents and notice of any other financial aid resources which are not listed with the Student Financial Aid Office. If you submit requested documents after the early July date, you may not have anticipated aid awarded to settle all or a portion of your fall bill, and you will need to settle your charges through other means. Other methods for settling your account are available on the Bursar's Office website. If we receive notification of scholarships you will or have received after you have been awarded aid, we will reevaluate and other aid awards may be adjusted.
