Peer Counselors
Provides advising and counseling services to students and families in person, over the phone, and via email, assisting with all financial aid processes.
Financial Aid Advisors
Counsel students on federal, state, and institutional aid, process and revise aid awards, assist with FAFSA corrections, and handle specific programs such as private loans, Federal Work-Study, and professional judgment requests.
Application Awarding and Aid Evaluation Team
Manages the processing of federal and need-based aid, including the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) process, FAFSA verification, and awarding of grants like the College Access Program (CAP).
Application and System Processing Team
Oversees FAFSA verification, resolves conflicting information, processes corrections, and ensures compliance with federal aid eligibility requirements.
Disbursement and Information Management Team
Handles the disbursement of funds, manages loan origination and reconciliation, oversees the Return of Title IV (R2T4) process, and coordinates with the Bursar's Office on financial matters.
Scholarship Management Team
Administers various scholarship programs, including state programs like KEES and KY National Guard, non-resident state grants, corporate partnerships, and institutional scholarships, ensuring proper awarding and disbursement.
Systems Team
Manages technology and system utilization, security, and communications to support financial aid operations.
Financial Aid Operations Team
Oversees special programs such as Competency-Based Education (CBE), manages policies like SAP, handles departmental funding, and addresses administrative issues related to financial aid services.
Administration Team
Oversees the overall management and strategic direction of the office, ensuring effective coordination among various teams to provide comprehensive financial aid services to students.

Graduate Peer Counselors

The team provides advising and counseling services for students seeking in-person service via office lobby; provides advising and counseling services for students seeking assistance via phone (call center) and email (service account); supports Customer Service Team; and supports Student Outreach.

Financial Aid Advisor, Sr Team

Counsels students and families on all financial aid processes for federal, state, and institutional aid to assist with getting them to apply and matriculate to the university. The team processes and revises aid awards; assists with processing the SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) Policy; and helps students with FAFSA corrections for special populations dealing with citizenship, legal relationship, selective service registration, as well as other checklist forms.

Hours

Except when noted otherwise, the Student Financial Aid Office provides walk-in counseling to current and prospective students on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. On Thursdays, the office is open from 11:00 a.m. until - 4:30 p.m.
