Career Advocate Program (CAP)

Career Advocate Program (CAP)

Careers are Everywhere

Career development frequently takes place outside the walls of the career center as students engage with their faculty, instructors, staff advisors, coaches, work supervisors, and other professionals they encounter. The Career Advocate Program provides the opportunity to learn how to best support students in becoming career ready and achieving post graduate success in today’s quickly evolving world of work. The program is open to all faculty, staff, and administrators.

As a result of attending the CAP seminars, participants will:

  • Develop a foundation for having critical career conversations with students
  • Gain a basic knowledge of career development theory, career decision making, internship and job searching, and relevant resources/tools
  • Understand how to make effective referrals to the University Career Center
