Hospitality Management (Minor)

Hospitality is one of the largest and fastest-growing industries in the Louisville area. Students completing the Hospitality Management minor will learn the ins and outs of hotel operations, revenue management, event planning and implementation, direct sales and social media sales operations and hotel leadership skills. Internships with local hotels will be available.
The hospitality minor will create a robust pipeline ad deeper talent pool which is crucial to growing Louisville’s hotel industry workforce, which equipping students with lifelong skill sets that will make them more marketable upon graduation.

The hospitality management minor prepares students for careers working in hotels, and also in entertainment, venues, restaurants, and other organizations that create leisure and travel experiences for customers. It is a great career for people who like working with people, and also provides a full range of functional business experience. Learn skills in event management, revenue management, and service-based operations and marketing. There are also many internship opportunities available as well.
The College of Business offers a minor in Hospitality Management which is open to all students at the University of Louisville. Admission to the program requires a minimum GPA of 2.5.
