Business Administration (Minor)

The minor includes classes with all facets of business including management, marketing, finance, computer information systems and a business elective. These basic studies in the business field help students prepare for a wide range of careers that involve business applications and business principles.

Minor in Business Administration

The College of Business offers a minor in Business Administration for students in other colleges and schools at the University of Louisville. College of Business majors are not eligible for enrollment in the Business Administration minor. Enrollment is limited in the business minor because of the large demand for courses by business majors.
To be admitted to the minor in Business Administration and be permitted to pursue the program core coursework, a student must have completed the following:
- Fifty-one (51) or more semester hours with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher;
- ECON 201 and ECON 202; and
- The business program prerequisite coursework with a GPA of 2.5.
Upon completion of the admission requirements and formal application, the student is admitted into the Business Administration minor program based on the student’s academic performance and the space available. An appointment may be made during the semester that the program prerequisites are being completed to begin the application process.

2.0 GPA in Business Administration minor program core coursework and a 2.0 cumulative UofL GPA are required for graduation.
At least three (3) semester hours of the requirements for a minor must be successfully completed while enrolled in the University of Louisville.

Completion of Math 111 or an ACT Math score of 25 or SAT Math score of 590 or Accuplacer AAF score of 250.

The following will also meet the statistics requirement: MATH 109, PSYC 301, SOC 301, BSTA 301, CSE 110, IE 360, PHST 302, POLS 390, or equivalent.

ACCT 205 may substitute for ACCT 201 and ACCT 202
