Freeman, Stewart '15 publish new book with Oxford
Working with co-author and UofL Philosophy alum Heather Stewart '15 Professor Lauren Freeman has published Microaggressions in Medicine (Oxford University Press 2024), the first philosophical book on microaggressions in the medical context. The book has already made a splash, with author-meets-critics sessions at the Association for Practical & Professional Ethics conference as well as a city-wide Book Launch organized by Metro Councilman Ben Reno-Weber. Freeman and Stewart's collaboration stretches back nine years, to Freeman's BETH 680 class where they met. Stewart has since completed her PhD at Western University in Canada and is now Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Oklahoma State University.
