Dr. Gesler completed her BSN from the University of Louisville, MSN from the University of Phoenix with a focus in Nursing Administration and Education, and her EdD from Spalding University in 2016, with a focus on educational leadership. She is an active member of the River City Chapter of KNA.

Dr. Gesler has 22 years of teaching experience with traditional undergraduate, Second Degree, graduate and RN-BSN students.  She has taught courses in fundamentals, community health, adult health, LGBTQ health, family, nutrition, and pediatrics. She has 15 years of experience with online teaching and simulation.  In addition, Dr. Gesler is an ATI champion and serves as an ATI virtual coach and live reviewer. Dr.  Gesler teaches in the child health courses, transition to practice, and the graduate program. She is the coordinator of online development. Dr. Gesler is interested in pediatric health outcomes, community resources, and gun violence prevention.
