 Dr Batscha has over 40 years of inpatient, outpatient, and residential clinical psychiatric practice as an advanced practice nurse and has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for psychosis (CBTp), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).  She currently provides medication and therapy services for the Kentucky Racing Health Services nursing run clinic and is in private practice at the Kentucky Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (KY- CARDS).  She has published articles, book chapters and presented nationally and internationally on topics relating to the treatment of people with serious mental illness.  She has provided psychiatric and medication management for people in Phase 3 Drug trials, CBT treatment for people experiencing a first episode of psychosis as part of an NIMH funded study, and CBT brief treatment for mothers of children with disabilities.
