Whether you are an undergraduate student planning for the future or a medical student trying to gain more exposure, shadowing in the Emergency Department at the University of Louisville can be a very valuable experience. We are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity to work with our residents and faculty in our busy, Level 1 department.

How To Apply

** Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, shadowing opportunities have been limited to those who have received the COVID vaccination.  Prospective observers must submit proof of vaccination with their completed Shadowing Application (below).

We offer shadowing experience to high school students, undergraduates, medical students, and non-traditional visitors. Interested observers should complete the Shadowing Application and submit it to Alescia McKeel.  You will find the UofL HIPAA Privacy Guidance document here.

Once your application has been received, you will receive a link to our scheduling calendar and you may choose the shadowing opportunities that best fit your schedule.
