Benjamin J. Wilson received his PhD from the University of Kentucky in 2021. His research covers global modernism, British and US 20th century literature, and US southern studies. His teaching interests are similar, but also include composition and film studies. His dissertation, Southern Alterity in the Global Modernist Novel, 1899-1966, examines the trope of southern alterity in novels by writers such as Joseph Conrad, Jean Rhys, and Ralph Ellison.
