Brown-Forman Corp. provided this endowment, which received state matching monies, as part of the bicentennial capital campaign. The chair holder facilitates the generation of new health-related businesses through collaboration between business school faculty and medical researchers. This interdisciplinary approach will spur economic growth and speed the process of delivering new medical discoveries to patients.

Louisville-based Brown-Forman produces and markets spirits, wine and consumer goods. The company's gift was presented by its chairman, Owsley Brown Frazier '60L, a life member of the Board of Overseers.
