Teaching, Service & Research and Creative Activities
Composition program publishes journal of student work
UofL’s Composition program published the first issue of a new print and digital journal, Cardinal Compositions, featuring undergraduate student writing. The inaugural issue features work from the students in former Prof. Debra Journet's class, focused on The Wire. In addition, approximately 40 print pages of UofL student writing from Composition courses will go in next year's UofL edition of “The Everyday Writer.” This is the required textbook used for most English 101 and 102 courses at UofL. The editorial team of PhD students (Stephan Cohen, Elizabeth Chamberlain, Keri Mathis, and Travis Rountree) from the English Department’s Composition & Rhetoric Program worked hard to make this happen.
