Community Engagement
The work conducted by our engagement unit builds bridges between the larger community and the university. Our programming often partners with other organizations and includes a broad array of programming topics. Some of our most active partnerships include joint programming with The Kentucky Center for African American Heritage, the Jefferson County Public School system, and the Yearlings Club in West Louisville.
Yearlings Club Series ▾
This series looks at issues, topics, events which have been identified by the community as important and presents forums in which those issues can be presented and examined by the community.
West Louisville Economic Development Forum ▾
The goal of this conference organized by UofL's College of Arts & Sciences is to engage and empower stakeholders who are passionate about rebuilding and sustaining healthy, vibrant, and sustainable communities with information on strategies and resources available to effect positive change in our community.
Louisville Downtown Civil Rights Markers ▾
This project was former dean of the University of Louisville College of Arts and Sciences J. Blaine Hudson's vision to preserve the history, heritage and contributions of African Americans to Louisville's rich history.
