Monique Morton

Monique Morton has been the Mathematics Director for Advance Kentucky, an initiative of the Kentucky Science & Technology Corporation (KSTC) in affiliation with the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI), since 2008. In that capacity, she works with teachers of Advanced Placement mathematics classes (Calculus, Statistics, and Computer Science) to increase the number of students participating in AP, increase the number of AP students taking the exam, and increase the number of qualifying scores on AP exams in participating Advance Kentucky schools.

Before moving to Kentucky, Monique taught mathematics, including AP Calculus AB and BC, at Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, DC, for many years. She has been a reader, a table leader, and a question leader for the AP Calculus exam and was a member of the AP Calculus Test Development Committee from 2004 to 2008. Monique is a College Board consultant in Pre-AP mathematics and AP Calculus and has served on other College Board committees.
