University of Louisville AP Summer Institute

The University of Louisville is pleased to offer a College Board-endorsed AP Summer Institute.

New and experienced AP teachers will spend four and a half days exploring the latest methods and curriculum topics in AP curriculum, teaching strategies, and course content.

Registration will be hosted through College Board and will open in March.

The 2020 University of Louisville AP Summer Institute will offer teacher workshops in the following areas:

Session I: June 15-19, 2020

  • Chemistry (Combined - New & Experienced)
  • Environmental Science (Combined - New & Experienced)
  • U.S. History (Combined - New & Experienced)
  • English Literature & Composition (New Teachers)
  • English Literature & Composition (Experienced Teachers)

Session II: July 13-17, 2020

  • English Language & Composition (New Teachers)
  • English Language & Composition (Experienced Teachers)
  • Biology (Combined - New & Experienced)
  • Statistics (Combined - New & Experienced)
  • Computer Science Principles (Combined - New & Experienced)
  • Calculus AB (Combined - New & Experienced)
  • World History (Combined - New & Experienced)

 

Registration Fees:

AP registration for sessions without labs - $600

Fees include course instruction, College Board packets, training materials, continental breakfast, lunch and snacks.

AP registration for sessions with labs - $650

Fees include course instruction, College Board packets, training materials, continental breakfast, lunch, snacks and lab supplies.

Early bird registration ends May for Session 1 and June 13 for Session II. Price after early bird registration increases by $45. 

 

NOTE: New teacher sessions are generally for teachers with 1 - 5 years of teaching experience in the subject area. Experienced teacher sessions are generally for teachers with 5 or more year teaching experience in the subject area.
