The Basic Allowance for Housing is calculated for the zip code at U of L (40292) and is currently $1251.00 per month.  Those enrolled solely in distance education courses will be entitled to ½ the national average BAH of $1,429 ($714.50) per month.  The housing allowance is paid one month behind, on the 1st of each month.

For example:  The first day of the fall term is 08/25/14 and the housing allowance to be paid on 9/1 will be for the last 6 days of August only.  The first full housing payment for the fall term will be around October 1st for the month of September.

Please note:

Receipt of the book allowance and the housing stipend are dependent upon certification.
