Dual Credit Students
Sidebar
Dual Credit Students are students currently enrolled in high school who want to take college courses.
The University of Louisville offers qualified high school students the opportunity to earn college credit by attending classes on campus at the UofL. Benefits of our dual credit program include:
- Developing a college transcript while in high school
- Experiencing college curriculum and instructional methods
- Shortening the amount of time required to complete a college degree
- Saving money with a special reduced rate
- The perks of a UofL college student:
- Free TARC access
- Free access to UofL’s libraries
- Discounted access to our Student Recreation Center (SRC)
Become a Dual Credit Student at UofL
- Complete UofL's Take Flight Application.
- Submit your official high school transcript(s). See the Dual Credit Transcript Requests section below for more information.
- Submit your test scores (optional).
- Complete and submit the Dual Credit Student Agreement.
- Complete and submit the Dual Credit Parent Agreement (sent to parent's email after student applies).
Parents: The Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) prohibits discussion of a student’s academic performance with anyone other than the student. Dual credit UofL instructors follow these FERPA mandates. Please note that parents will not be notified if a participating student is doing poorly in class. A parent may discuss grades with their child but not the instructor. Any grade received in a dual credit class will become a part of the student’s high school and college permanent record.
$97 per credit hour.
