Information for Students
There are two different ways you can gain access to these digital materials:
- A BryteWave (RedShelf) account will be created using your school email address. An email will be sent to you with a link to your shelf. This emailed link will take you to your BryteWave Discover Shelf account, where you can log in using your school email address and find your preloaded material on your Shelf.
- Students can go directly to Brytewave to monitor and access their Shelf and material:
- Navigate to https://brytewave.redshelf.com/.
- Click “Log In”.
- Select “Forgot Password”.
- Use your academic email address to reset your password.
- Once you gain access to your Shelf:
- Click on the title you are looking to access or "View Details" to see the details of the product.
- For an eBook, you can click READ NOW to open it in a new tab.
- If you are provided an access code, click "Copy the Code to Clipboard" and then click ACCESS COURSEWARE. You will paste that code in the designated field.
- If the ACCESS COURSEWARE button is not available for a specific product, you will go directly to the publisher website provided by your instructor to redeem your code.
There are two different ways you can gain access to these digital materials:
- A Kortext account will be created using your school email address. An email will be sent to you with a link to your Shelf. This emailed link will take you to your Kortext account, where you can log in using your school email address and find your preloaded material on your Shelf.
- Students can go directly to Kortext to monitor and access their Shelf and material:
- Navigate to https://kortext.com/.
- Click “Log In”.
- IMPORTANT: If there is a drop-down menu for location, choose "United States".
- Enter your school email address and click “Next”.
- Click “Forgot password?”
- Enter your school email address and click “Send Instructions”.
- Follow the emailed instructions to reset your password.
- Once you gain access to your Shelf:
- Click on the title you are looking to access to open it in a new tab.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The Follett ACCESS program allows for all the course materials for a class to be included with in tuition and fees. Once you have selected your courses for the upcoming term, the campus store pulls ALL required course materials for those courses that are part of the Follett ACCESS program. (They work with your professors and know everything you need.) You will receive an email from Follett with instructions on how to access your required course material by five days before the start of class.
Yes. Required course materials are offered at a reduced price through the program and will be billed through your Bursar’s account, making it easier to apply financial aid to the costs of your course materials.
For courses that are part of the Follett ACCESS program, materials will be gathered for you by the campus store. However, getting required course materials for classes which are not included in this program is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
- Visit https://www.bkstr.com/uoflstore/home and click on "textbooks". Search for your books.
- Select "rental", "digital", "used" or "new". (Cut your costs when you rent your textbooks.)
- Get your books.
Order online or visit us in store where our textbook experts will be happy to assist you in completing your required course materials purchase.
If you drop a course by the last day to drop/add identified in our initial email, the fee will be credited back to your account. We cannot offer refunds after the last day to add/drop. If you add a new course that is part of the program, your online access code for required courseware will be emailed to you. If you add a course that is not part of the program, follow the steps above to procure your required items.
Only materials identified by your professor or campus as “required” are included as part of the program. All “recommended” materials will be available for purchase at the campus store and https://www.bkstr.com/uoflstore/home.
