Job Summary


Direct, supervise, and participate in the diagnosis and provision of therapeutic services for children and adults with speech and language disorders.

Duties and Responsibilities


Select, administer, and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests to determine individual speech and language disorders.

Evaluate test results, assess needs, and recommend appropriate therapy.

Plan, direct, and provide therapeutic services such as rehabilitation programs and counseling for patients and families.

Direct and supervise support staff.

Plan and participate in programs to inform professional groups and the general public about communicative disorders and available treatment.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive patient files and other administrative records and reports.

Attend and participate in departmental, local, state, and national meetings and conferences concerning speech pathology.

Research and develop new diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Training and Skills


Master's degree in Speech Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology issued by American Speech and Hearing Association. Licensor from Kentucky State Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology.



Three years of Clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist.
