High School Groups
Schedule Your Group Visit
A High School Group Visit can be requested by a program coordinator, counselor or anyone in charge of a group of high school students.
Your group will receive a student-led walking tour and a presentation given by an admissions counselor.
Groups can range from ten to forty students, and require one chaperone for every ten students. Please request at least two weeks in advance to allow proper planning time to make your visit great.
Prepare For Your Visit
Accommodations can be requested when you register for a High School Group Visit. Please indicate if anyone in your group requires ASL or Spanish interpretation, or physical accommodations, etc. on the registration form under, "Additional Requests."
If your group wants to arrive early, stay after the visit, or eat on campus, you are welcome to do so. We ask that you coordinate directly with our Dining Services office to arrange for this experience ahead of time. Our Dining Services office can assist you with deciding where to eat on campus and arranging payment.
Parking is provided for your group. Instructions for parking will be sent directly to the requester before the day of the visit.
Our staff will make every effort to keep your Group Visit appointment. If your visit is canceled for inclement weather or an emergency, we will contact you as soon as possible.
- If classes are delayed two hours, the program will begin at the regularly scheduled time.
- If classes are canceled and the university is closed, the program will be canceled as well.
- If there is severe weather on the day of your visit, check our campus weather status on our homepage or call 502.852.5555 for the open status of our University.
- If your visit is canceled but you have already traveled to Louisville, please contact us and we will try our best to work with you!
Here are some helpful tips to help your group prepare for your campus tour:
- Dress casually and for the weather. Group visits will continue rain or shine barring any emergency weather.
- Comfortable shoes for the tour are a must.
- A jacket or umbrella are helpful in case of rain.
- Bring a refillable water bottle.
Get the most out of your time on campus!
Encourage your students to ask questions on the tour and during the presentation. The best visits are the ones that are the most interactive. We want your students to get the most out of their time on our campus!
