Meteorology (Minor)

Turn your fascination with weather into a career path. UofL’s Meteorology minor gives you the knowledge and skills for forecasting and atmospheric science, especially when paired with a Physics or Math degree—meeting federal requirements for meteorology jobs.

The Meteorology minor builds a strong foundation in weather and climate science through courses in analysis, thermodynamics, mesoscale and synoptic meteorology. Designed to pair with majors like Physics or Math, it meets government educational standards for employment in meteorology, preparing students for forecasting, research or graduate study in atmospheric science.
