Kentucky-Princeton Undergraduate Summer Institute on Inequality

Kentucky-Princeton Undergraduate Summer Institute on Inequality

University of Louisville, Louisville, KY

May 26- June 2, 2018

Topic: Inequality

What is inequality? Does it matter? How does it impact people across sectors of society and aspects of their lives? This intensive 6-day seminar, held on the campus of the University of Louisville, introduces students to questions of inequality in a social context. It features considerable site-based learning on topics such as housing, criminal justice, racial stratification, and economic inequality. The institute aims to combine theoretical and empirical consideration of social issues with concrete awareness of human impact. Open to all undergraduates. Faculty drawn from Princeton, UofL, and other Kentucky colleges and universities.

To apply: Send i) a 1-page statement of interest, ii) unofficial transcript, and iii) the name of one faculty member who can recommend you, to Prof. Avery Kolers by Dec. 1 2017.
