Whitney Nash honored by KY Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives

Whitney Nash, UofL School of Nursing associate dean of practice and service and associate professor, was honored by the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives April 20 during the organization's 29th-annual conference in Covington.

Nash, Ph.D., A.P.R.N., received the Ellen Bailey Share the Light Award given in memory of Ellen Bailey, a leader of advanced practice nursing in Kentucky and a founder of the coalition. Bailey demonstrated a lifelong dedication to clinical practice, service and teaching. 

Award recipients emulate Bailey's style of quiet leadership, clinical excellence, service to the profession and quality patient care. Nash demonstrates engagement in active advanced clinical practice in Kentucky, service to the profession, strong clinical competence, quiet leadership and community involvement.
