DNP student appointed to AACN leadership council
Heather Raley, a doctor of nursing practice student, has been appointed to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Graduate Nursing Student Academy Leadership Council.
Raley is among 10 graduate nursing student members from across the country who will serve a two year term on the council to help shape the formation of the Graduate Nursing Student Academy and provide direction on what programs, services and resources should be developed to meet the needs of nursing students in master’s and doctoral degree programs.
Raley is a second-year DNP student in the family nurse practitioner specialty and works as a registered nurse at Norton Children’s Hospital. She intends to make a contribution to nursing research regarding the topic of prevention, early intervention and management of overweight and obese obstetric and pediatric patients in the primary care setting.
