University of Louisville Graduate School and School of Nursing Two-year Partial Tuition Scholarship for Master’s Students
Scholarship Criteria:
- Enrolled full-time in the MEPN Program
- U.S. citizen, or permanent resident
To maintain eligibility, students must:
- Take a full course load each fall and spring semester (at least 9 credit hours each semester)
- Continue in good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or above) and make satisfactory progress towards the degree (no nursing course failures or withdrawals).
Application:
- Complete the Scholarship Application form here.
- Submit a brief statement (200-word limit) explaining enthusiasm for MEPN studies at the University of Louisville School of Nursing.
Scholarship Awards:
- The scholarship recipients are selected on a competitive basis.
- Selected students will receive $3,500 per 10-month academic year, and non-resident students will receive $7,000 per academic year, the scholarship covers 2 years of study (fall and spring only).
Selection Process and Criteria:
A committee composed of SON Faculty and administrators will review applications for the scholarship. The committee will select the applicants who most successfully demonstrate:
- Strong academic background and potential strong academic progress
- Acceptance to the graduate MEPN program at the University of Louisville
- Effective communication skills as evident in the essay
- Strong explanation of their enthusiasm for MEPN studies at the University of Louisville School of Nursing.
Notification:
Once administrators receive approval from the Graduate School, the student will be notified by School of Nursing Dean.
