Metropolitan College/UPS Program

Through Metropolitan College, eligible part-time, third-shift UPS employees earn $21 per hour with full undergraduate tuition paid at the regular, resident rate for fall, spring, and summer semester at UofL. Metropolitan College participants can earn $250 toward fees and up to $850 in academic bonuses for the fall and spring semesters. Metropolitan College includes individualized wealth-building and career-development programs, and eligible participants can earn a $1,400 graduation bonus.

Metropolitan College is not a “last dollar” program, which means participants can utilize KEES and other scholarships for on-campus housing, meal plans, and other fees. Pell, SEOG and CAP grants will apply to no more than half the cost of undergraduate, resident-rate tuition. When MC benefits combined with scholarships and remaining grants result in an overpayment, participants receive a residual or a refund.
