The cornerstone of our Med-Peds training program is our weekly, combined Med-Peds continuity clinics established through partnerships with private Med-Peds physicians. This is a unique experience among Med-Peds residency programs and our residents value the real world experience to develop community partnerships, practice real world clinical skills and gain early exposure to the business of medicine. Residents work exclusively with Med/Peds trained preceptors in one of the following clinics located within the greater Louisville area. We also have a deep bench of Med-Peds trained primary care providers (many are grads from our program) that are excellent resources for our residents as mentors and electives like AHEC (rural health), ambulatory and direct primary care rotations.
