The Office of Facilities Management and its units provide services that best preserve the physical assets of the University of Louisville.

About Us

Facilities Management is responsible for ensuring that the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of all of the UofL's facilities and grounds support the academic, research and administrative functions of the institution, while balancing financial and technical constraints with concerns of being a nationally recognized metropolitan university.

Environmental Health and Safety
We assist the university in its mission by promoting a safe and healthful environment for faculty, staff, students and visitors.
Physical Plant
We provide efficient and timely service to support the university’s goals in the areas of teaching, research and externally related activities.
Planning, Design and Construction
UPDC provides professional services for campus planning, space programming, interior design, construction management and classroom scheduling.
Emergency Preparedness
Environmental Health and Safety, Police and other supporting departments continually develop processes and procedures to respond to emergencies.
Sustainable Operations
The University of Louisville is taking steps to reduce its environmental impact and enhance sustainability on all three of its campuses.
