We provide strategic support to the President, Provost and the University Community in order to be responsive to the ever-changing needs of our students and community.

About Us

Our mission is to provide a means of understanding the context and climate of our campus, programs and students; to ensure continuous, systematic assessments and improvements occur within our academic and community activities; and to be accountable to the public, state and accrediting agencies. 

In order to accomplish our mission, the Office of Academic Planning & Accountability:

  • Supports the establishment and data collection of performance metrics related to the University Strategic Plan
  • Coordinates institutional and program-level accreditation processes
  • Conducts institutional studies, planning and institutional effectiveness efforts for academic and administrative decision making and continuous organizational improvements
  • Responds to both external and internal requests for institutional information
  • Serves as a liaison with the Council of Postsecondary Education (CPE) on academic planning and accountability reporting
  • Directs the approval and review process for academic programs and centers and institutes
  • Coordinates institutional compliance efforts with federal regulations related to on-campus academic programs
  • Manages annual review and updates to the university’s academic catalogs

Institutional Effectiveness
We facilitate continuous improvement of university programs and services by providing resources to support survey design, academic and unit-level strategic planning, and data-driven assessment processes.
Institutional Research, Analytics & Decision Support
We collect, maintain, analyze, interpret and disseminate official university data for federal, state, and institutional reporting.
Public Disclosure
