We provide strategic support to the President, Provost and the University Community in order to be responsive to the ever-changing needs of our students and community.
About Us
Our mission is to provide a means of understanding the context and climate of our campus, programs and students; to ensure continuous, systematic assessments and improvements occur within our academic and community activities; and to be accountable to the public, state and accrediting agencies.
In order to accomplish our mission, the Office of Academic Planning & Accountability:
- Supports the establishment and data collection of performance metrics related to the University Strategic Plan
- Coordinates institutional and program-level accreditation processes
- Conducts institutional studies, planning and institutional effectiveness efforts for academic and administrative decision making and continuous organizational improvements
- Responds to both external and internal requests for institutional information
- Serves as a liaison with the Council of Postsecondary Education (CPE) on academic planning and accountability reporting
- Directs the approval and review process for academic programs and centers and institutes
- Coordinates institutional compliance efforts with federal regulations related to on-campus academic programs
- Manages annual review and updates to the university’s academic catalogs

We facilitate continuous improvement of university programs and services by providing resources to support survey design, academic and unit-level strategic planning, and data-driven assessment processes.
Institutional Research, Analytics & Decision Support
We collect, maintain, analyze, interpret and disseminate official university data for federal, state, and institutional reporting.
