The university's hub for matching with and applying for scholarships. The University of Louisville makes it easy to find and apply for internal and external scholarship opportunities. You will already be matched with many scholarships in Scholarship Universe, but answer more questions on your dashboard to open up a universe of opportunities.

3Answer Matching Questions
Click “Questions” in the user menu to answer more questions that will help match you to more scholarships. The more questions you answer, the more scholarship opportunities you can unlock! Go in anytime to answer more questions.

4View Scholarship Opportunities
Click “Scholarships” in the user menu to see the scholarships you match to, your applications, and your awards.

5Apply for Scholarships
Click “Applications” in the user menu to start a new application, view your in progress applications and your submitted applications.
Application Cycles and Deadlines
Fall application opens October 1. Deadline to submit is January 31.
Spring application opens June 1. Deadline to submit is September 15.
Summer application opens March 1. Deadline to submit is March 31.
Scholarship Universe FAQ
Scholarship Universe is a platform that maximizes scholarship opportunities for students by matching them to eligible scholarships. Scholarship Universe allows students to create an academic profile and add additional information about themselves to increase the opportunity to be matched to internal and external scholarship opportunities based on eligibility criteria.
Internal scholarships refer to scholarships directly awarded by University of Louisville, and external scholarships refer to any scholarships awarded by an outside source. Every external scholarship posted in Scholarship Universe has been vetted to ensure it came from a reliable source.
Scholarship Universe manages the gifted and endowed scholarships provided to the University from the generous support of community donors. There are some scholarships funded by the University that are managed by individual departments.

- Students easily apply online to multiple scholarship opportunities through a personalized portal.
- Students track their application status online via the portal.
- Students are alerted whenever they are matched to a new scholarship opportunity.

Yes, application status can be viewed through the student portal within Scholarship Universe. Click the Applications icon on the left side of the page to see if applications are Ready to Start, In Progress or Submitted. Select the Submitted tab to see which applications have been submitted for that awarding year.
Yes, as long as you do not submit the application, you can save it and finish it later. To finish later, you can find your "In Progress" applications in the Applications tab.
The more profile questions you answer, the more scholarships you might be matched to now and in the future, so you are encouraged to answer as many as you can.
Many University of Louisville offices and departments offer scholarships that may not be in Scholarship Universe. Contact your college office or department to see if they have any available opportunities.
