Fueling discovery & learning

Serving as a strategic bridge between UofL and corporations, foundations, and community partners, OEP works to align shared goals that drive institutional priorities, fuel discovery and expand learning opportunities for students and faculty alike.

Through coordinated engagement across philanthropy, research collaborations, workforce development initiatives and community partnerships, OEP helps amplify UofL’s impact locally, nationally and globally.

Elevating the university's impact

Through strategic communication, collaboration and thoughtful proposal development, the Office of External Partnerships (OEP) helps secure philanthropic support, sponsorships and partnerships that advance research, scholarship and educational excellence at UofL.

Our team works to elevate the university’s reputation and impact by aligning UofL’s strengths and priorities with the interests and objectives of corporations, foundations and other external partners.

Supporting the partnership lifecycle

In close collaboration with faculty, administrators, center directors and development officers across campus, OEP supports every stage of the partnership lifecycle – from identifying and pursuing funding opportunities to preparing competitive proposals, coordinating stewardship activities, ensuring compliance and maximizing the strategic use of resources.
