Brandeis author to speak Oct. 24

Legal scholar and commentator Jeffrey Rosen will speak about his new book, "Louis D. Brandeis: American Prophet" at a Filson Historical Society event Oct. 24.

Rosen is a professor at The George Washington University Law School, president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, a contributing editor of The Atlantic and a nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.

His book argues that Justice Brandeis was the most farseeing constitutional philosopher of the 20th century. Rosen explores what Brandeis can teach us about historic and contemporary questions involving the Constitution, monopoly, corporate and federal power, technology, privacy, free speech and Zionism.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at The Temple, 5101 U.S. Hwy. 42. Tickets are free for Filson members and students with an ID and $10 for all others. Tickets are available here.
