Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion-Little Free Library

Psychological & Brain Sciences - Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI)-Focused Little Free Library (LFL)

Our department is happy to announce the opening of our Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI)-Focused Little Free Library (LFL), located in the main floor lobby of the Life Sciences Building (enter from West side of the breezeway, and it’s just outside Suite 103). Little Free Libraries are the largest book-sharing movement in the world. LFLs operate on the honor system: take a book, share a book. LFLs provide 24/7 book access – with no fees or deadlines – and are meant to foster reading, sharing, and community engagement. The LFL initiative https://littlefreelibrary.org/ operates on the belief that “all people are empowered when the opportunity to discover a personally relevant book to read is not limited by time, space, or privilege”. Our DEI-focused LFL is proudly sponsored by our department’s Resilient Families Project and by CODRE (the Commission on Diversity and Racial Equity) at UofL. For more information or to donate to our LFLs at UofL, please contact Lora.Haynes@Louisville.edu.
